Filming some epic footage around the Sunshine Coast
One of the biggest reasons I love being a photographer is that it allows me to glimpse into the lives of others—their hobbies, passions, professions, and the unique ways they spend their time. Every shoot is an opportunity to connect with people and capture the essence of their world, and that’s something truly special to me. I’ll admit, I’m a bit awkward in front of the camera, but I’m excited to share a slice of my journey and give you a peek into what I do for a living. Photography isn’t just my job; it’s my passion, and I hope that sharing my work might inspire someone, spark an idea, or simply provide a little entertainment.
The Sunshine Coast holds a special place in my heart. Growing up here, I’ve explored every hidden corner and breathtaking view this region has to offer. It’s one of the most stunning places in the world, and I take every chance to showcase its beauty through my lens. Whether it’s the golden beaches, lush hinterlands, or iconic landmarks, there’s always something new to discover and share. Take, for example, the Glass House Mountains, steeped in natural beauty and cultural significance.
According to the Dreamtime story, Mount Tibrogargan, the father of the mountain family, once instructed his family to flee from an impending flood. However, his son Coonowrin refused to help his pregnant mother, Beerwah. This act of defiance angered Tibrogargan, who struck Coonowrin, leaving him with a crooked neck. The story is a poignant reminder of responsibility, respect, and the consequences of our actions. These mountains remain sacred to the First Nations people, and they are a powerful symbol of connection to the land.
