Land & Sea : Glass House Mountains and Moffat Beach
In this episode I get up my trusty Mavic 3 and fly around Mt. Tibrogargan and also Moffat beach. There are very few places in the world as beautiful as the Sunshine Coast, I grew up up here and I know every nook and cranny of this place and I aim to show it off whenever I can!
The Dreamtime story of Mount Tibrogargan, part of the Glass House Mountains, tells of a family of mountains. Tibrogargan, the father, instructed his family to flee a flood, but his son, Coonowrin, refused to help his pregnant mother, Beerwah. Angered by this betrayal, Tibrogargan struck Coonowrin, leaving him with a crooked neck. The family was left in sadness, symbolizing themes of responsibility, respect, and consequences. These mountains remain sacred to the First Nations people.
